One of my most-downloaded freebies has been the teaching telephone numbers to toddlers and preschoolers printable. Much has changed since I first created it, so I’ve made an updated version that uses a cell phone as the image instead of the old-fashioned telephone.
Teaching Toddlers & Preschoolers Their Phone Number
I still have several children who need to learn their phone number so this activity will come in handy again. In this updated pack, there are 2 version (7-digit and 10-digit) plus a sheet to learn how to dial 911.

How to Use This Printable
I wrote our number in pencil in each of the squares. Next I had my daughter practice dialing by touching the number pad on the sheet. Then I had her cut out the numbers (provided in the download) and glue them in the right square. We have this hanging on our “learning” board so that we can practice it. She can look her sheet and use her pretend phone to dial or practice writing it on the chalkboard. We also sing our phone number:
My Phone Number
(sung to the tune of Where Oh Where, Oh Where is Shadow)
7 7 7 7 7 7 7
Where oh where, where is shadow?
7 7 7 7 7 7 7
Where oh where, where is shadow?
7 7 7 7 7 7 7
Where oh where, where is shadow?
Is my phone number.
Where can shadow be?
Just substitute your phone number where all the 7’s are located. If you are not familiar with the song, you can hear it sung at the beginning of the video of Bear in the Big Blue House.
