It’s only a few days until Christmas. Here is a simple easy gift you can make in no time at all, and it makes a great stocking stuffer or just a small gift for a friend. Here I will show you a simple way to make sugar scrubs.
First you will need to gather the supplies. Here is a list of supplies needed:
- natural sugarcane sugar
- Organic Almond oil
- Extra Virgin olive oil
- Lemon and Lavender essential oils (or any combination you’d prefer)
- 2 half pint ball jars
- ribbon
- popsicle sticks
- measuring cups and mixing bowl/spoon
First measure 1/2 a cup of almond oil and a 1/2 a cup of olive oil and pour into the bowl.
Next add 1 cup of sugar into the bowl.
Put 3 drops of each essential oil into the bowl. Lemon essential may help brighten a pale, dull complexion by removing the dead skin cells, and lavender may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. Pair them together and they smell great! (Note: Lemon is a photosensitive oil therefore if your hands are in direct sunlight, they could burn more easily. So don’t go sunbathing after using lemon oil topically.
Now mix everything all together.
After all that is done, scoop the mixture by spoonfuls evenly into two half pint jars.
Now all that is left to is to close the jars, and tie a ribbon with a small popsicle stick around the lid. Then write the instructions either on the lid or on a card.
Take some scrub with the stick and rub onto skin. Leave on for 2-3 minutes then rinse.
Well there you have it, a simple and easy gift idea for any occasion–or for yourself! ;) (Try to use within 2 months)
